I was once a British expat and I spent some time living out in Singapore. When I was in college in 2005, my professional career as a journalist began with my being published in Singapore's national broadsheet newspaper 
The Straits Times.

It's crazy to think that I've now been a journalist for 20 years!

To celebrate, here are my first ever articles, which were published in a supplement in the newspaper designed to cater for young people and to be written by young people. And one of them was even highlighted on the front page of the paper. I was very excited.

And as you can see, I've always been a nerd 😉
